Sunflower hearts are the kernels of the black sunflower seeds and as a result, they share all the same nutrients as black sunflower seeds and wild birds love them. One of the advantages of sunflower hearts is that they’re easier for the birds to eat, because they don’t have to remove the husks which usually build up around your feeding area.
